Harry J. Stefchak, Jr
Harry J. Stefchak, Jr. has lived many lives and in every one of them, there has been a dog.
Engineer-turned-traveler crafting bold, boundary-challenging thrillers.
Over his career, Harry has been a Philadelphia trial attorney, a restaurateur, a schoolteacher, and a real estate redevelopment expert. He holds degrees with honors in law, applied business management, economics, and education, and has authored chapters in several attorney professional development publications. He is a much sought-after public speaker and is deeply involved in his community and his church.
But if you ask Harry what he knows best, the answer is simple: dogs.
Over the years, he has lovingly owned and dedicated himself to ten dogs, whose pedigrees range from cocker spaniels to pit bull terriers and everything in between. He knows their quirks, their intelligence, their humor, and their capacity to love — and he believes every one of their stories deserves to be told.
From Tragedy to Triumph is the first installment of his planned series, Harry’s Horde of Hounds. Each book in the series will celebrate a different dog from Harry’s life — and the lessons each one left behind.
When he is not writing, Harry’s pursuits include professional narration, physical fitness, golf, horticulture, and fishing. He currently shares his home with Vito, a pit bull mix and self-appointed guardian of the universe.
